Admissions

At Church Langton C of E Primary we welcome and have pupils from our village, neighbouring villages and further afield. 

Please see information below regarding applying for a place at our school for new school starters and mid-term transfers. If you would like to join us on one of our Open Days or have a private tour, please get in contact with our office.

First Time Admissions

First time admissions for new school starters must be made via the Leicestershire County Council website. Below is their checklist for 2026 applicants. 

Applications are now open and the deadline is 15th January 2026.

Mid Term Transfers & Current Spaces

We currently have limited spaces available in years 2 and 3. Please contact the school office for more information on the spaces available.

For midterm transfers, please apply via the Learn Academies Trust admissions portal at apply.learnat.uk. The school no longer processes midterm admissions through the Local Authority. If you have any questions or require assistance with your application, please contact the school office.

We participate in the Local Authority’s coordinated admissions scheme. As per the School Admissions Code, all admitting authorities must aim to inform parents of their decision within 10 school days, and it is mandatory that a decision is communicated within 15 school days.

Appeals

The Leicester Diocesan Board of Education (DBE) are responsible for handling all appeals at Learn Academies Trust. They provide an independent, professional Schools Appeals Service dedicated to ensuring that all admission appeal hearings are heard fairly, equally and within the law. More details can be found on their website and the Appeal Service Dates for 2025-2026 can be found below.

Catchment Area

The school serves the villages of Church Langton, East Langton, Thorpe Langton, Tur Langton, West Langton, Slawston, Goadby, Stonton Wyvile, Cranoe, Noseley, Welham, Glooston, Carlton Curlieu and Shangton. We also have pupils from further a field.
