The School Ethos & Values

As a Church Aided School, the Christian Ethos underpins management, development and change within the School. The School Mission Statement reads like this;

Our Vision

To nurture well rounded, confident, happy children by providing an environment to stimulate young minds academically, physically, socially and creatively and has Christian values at its heart.

Mission Statement Key aspects:

Academic

To provide an inspiring and educationally successful primary school which allows children to fulfil their full potential.

Christian

As a church aided state school, we will encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promote Christian values.

Creative

To enhance children’s creative development through a variety of innovative, expressive projects, under the direction of specialist art and music teachers.

Physical

To provide positive physical experiences, ranging from a vast array of sporting opportunities to learning about the natural world in our outdoor classroom.  Each making full use of our wonderful, rural school setting.

Socially

To develop socially confident children with strong morals, friendship skills, respect and resilience at the core of our ethos.

Our school values lie at the heart of everything we do:

Compassion, Endurance, Forgiveness, Friendship, Thankfulness, Trust and Wisdom.

Intrinsically linked to our Christian Values are the British Values. At Church Langton these values are reinforced regularly throughout school life and in a variety of creative and reflective ways.
