As a Church Aided School, the Christian Ethos underpins management, development and change within the School. The School Mission Statement reads like this;
“Recognising its historic foundation, the School will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.
The School aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils”.
Our Christian ethos is integral to our daily practices and we interweave our 7 Christian values throughout all of our activities. These values are also the basis on which we reward children on a daily basis as well as through our weekly Head Teacher award. These are given for children who have demonstrated one of the 7 values throughout the week and this helps to promote their importance throughout the school.
Our Seven Values lie at the heart of everything we do:
Intrinsically linked to our Christian Values are the British Values. At Church Langton these values are reinforced regularly throughout school life and in a variety of creative and reflective ways.
